Year 9 History : Australians at war (WW1): Propaganda

Australian propaganda was designed to maintain public anger about German atrocities and idealise Australian soldiers. Most pieces promoted enlistment in some way or another and the most violent propaganda images surfaced around the time of the conscription debates.

These posters were displayed in public places around Australia encouraging men to enlist.

This is a collection of archival footage from the propaganda films produced between 1916 and 1943, presented without additional commentary.
